Delwood is an authorised Text Alert Estate in association with An Garda Síochána.

Our service provider is Sendmode based in Donegal.

There are 6 Text Alert signs on poles around Delwood with the phone number of the local Garda Station on them.

If you see something suspicious call that number. The GardaĂ will in turn contact Sendmode who will get an alert out.

Alternatively send a message through this site for an alert to go out.

There are over 80 mobile numbers in the Alert Database.

Under no circumstances should you approach any individual acting suspiciously.

If you want your mobile number added to the Database submit a request via the “Contact ” tab.

Some advice from Sendmode on Passwords follows:-

Increasing Your Password Strength

With the best practices you can create an effective password security policy and provide stronger protection against unauthorized access.

  • Password Lenght. A minimum length of 8 to 12 characters long, with long passphrases being even better.
  • Password complexity. Your password should contain at least three different character sets (e.g., uppercase characters, lowercase characters, numbers, or symbols). Don’t Use Dictionary Words. Sophisticated hackers have programs that search through tens of thousands of dictionary words. Avoid dictionary words to help prevent your business from being a victim of a dictionary attack program.
  • Password Rotation. Passwords must be changed every 90 days or less. Be aware of not reusing previous passwords.
  • Test your Password. Make sure your password is strong by testing it with an online testing tool. This one will tell you how long it may take a hacker to breach your password. https://www.security.org/how-secure-is-my-password/
